Patrick Jelly walked into his big office and proceeded to take a seat in his cosy red chair. He dumped a pile of numerous papers on his wooden desk. He swung on his chair once, positioning it directly at his desk, revealing his face. His very pale skin was obvious, and not a pimple or freckle was in sight. His hair was held back, only because it was crammed with lots of sticky, gloopy hair gel. He smiled his perfect white teeth, all positioned perfectly, not one single slant. He started to speak to himself, through a voice-over.

“I honestly don’t know how my school got like this. Oh, I’m sorry, I haven’t introduced myself, I’m Patrick Jelly. I am the principal of Jackson High School. I used to feel safe at this school, now I feel like I have to watch out every time I turn the corner of a hallway. What I’m really trying to say is that this school has turned into a laughing stock from the outside world. Jackson High used to be on top, we had a great cheerleading coach, named Sue Sylvester, until she quit because of budget cuts.”

He shook his head in dismay, as he continued speaking.

“Sue Sylvester then moved to McKinley High School, where she won many National championships. Ever since she left, this school has become horrible. Children don’t want to turn up to school anymore and when they do come, they harass teachers and use pencils as weapons. I keep getting parent complaints saying that our education programs are awful, but it’s really not my fault. I’ve tried everything to make this school more interesting for our children, but not one of those kids ever even takes notice to the things I do, and the teachers are sick of kids not paying attention in the classroom. There must be something I haven’t done yet.... That’s it! The glee club! That club is the biggest group of losers from the eyes of our school. If only I could make them as popular as they were a year ago. They lost Sectionals last year, and they were still extremely popular then. Now I don’t even know whose still in that club.” _______________________________________________________________________________________________

Mr. Jelly walked into the Jackson High auditorium to see his favourite performer from the club, Harmony Harpse. Pink polka-dots seemed to be splattered all over her beautiful white dress, as if a baking mixture exploded on her dress.

As she walked towards the microphone in the middle of the stage, she said, “Why, hello there, Mr. Jelly! Would you like to watch our new performance of an old classic song? We don’t usually have people watching us, so it’s great when we have a guest once in a while. Guys, we’ve got a guest, come on!”

Two other people walked onto the stage, at the call of their captain. A girl with a sunflower-colored yellow dress walked on. Her beautiful blonde hair was tied in a pony-tail with a yellow band keeping it together. Another girl with darker skin walked on, alongside the other girl, wearing a blue t-shirt that read the words: “Dream big, live big”. Her skirt was a floral green and went down to her knees. She had a bright red rose in her hair, and her shoes were decorated with little silver beads that glimmered in the spotlight. Then a young boy walked on. He was wearing a light casua; blue t-shirt and skinny jeans. His hair was all tangled and messy, and he looked as if he was about to collapse and start sleeping, right there in the middle of the stage. Through his glasses, the principal could see that his eyes were weary, and only half open. Harmony then turned around to see them all standing there. She then swivelled back to the principal who is now beaming. “Sit back, relax and most importantly, enjoy!” she exclaimed, as she exhaled a breath of air, ready for her performance to begin.

“Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens

Bright copper kettles and warm woollen mittens

Brown paper packages tied up with strings

These are a few of my favourite things

Cream coloured ponies and crisp apple strudels

Door bells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles

Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings

These are a few of my favourite things”

The principal smiled and looked impressed, as she continued singing along.

“Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes

Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes

Silver white winters that melt into springs

These are a few of my favourite things

When the dog bites, when the bee stings

When I'm feeling sad

I simply remember my favourite things

And then I don't feel so bad

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens

Bright copper kettles and warm woollen mittens

Brown paper packages tied up with strings

These are a few of my favourite things

Cream coloured ponies and crisp apple strudels

Door bells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles

Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings

These are a few of my favourite things

Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes

Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes

Silver white winters that melt into springs

These are a few of my favourite things

When the dog bites, when the bee stings

When I'm feeling sad

I simply remember my favourite things

And then I don't feel so bad.”

As soon as the performance ended, the amazed principal clapped immediately.

“Wow, you guys surely have talent, that's for sure!"

“So... have you finally come here to tell us that you've decided to get us a new coach?” Harmony asked with a glimmer of hope in her eye.

“Wait, you don’t have a coach?” the principal asked, looking confused.

Harmony then smiled and said, “No, our former director Mr. Happison passed away last year. Don’t you remember?”

Mr. Jelly then started to get caught in a long thought.

“Mr Jelly?” Harmony snapped, trying to grasp his attention.

“Oh... yes, I do remember him! A great man he was. Maybe that’s why nobody wants to be in this club anymore,” said the principal, thinking that his newly-found idea might get his school back on track.

“Please, could you get us a new director, Mr. Jelly!?” asked Harmony.

Patrick smiled and replied with a simple “Absolutely”. He then proceeded to exit the auditorium, happily.

“Well, there you have it, guys! We’ve got a new director!” Harmony screamed delightedly. They all cheered, except for the young boy who was now leaning on the girl with the yellow dress, and snoring heavily. She pushed him off and he falls to the ground, as she mouthes "Oops". Harmony then revealed the names of the three members, “Don’t worry about Jason, he’s probably just really tired, good job Poppy and Liz. I hope we get a good director.”

They all walked out of the room, with the exclusion of Jason who was still lying on the floor, in a deep sleep. _______________________________________________________________________________________________

It was a new day, and Harmony, who was now adorned with a green dress and beret, was talking to the club about who they thought the new director might be.

“She’s got to be Julie Andrews!” yelled Harmony, with an excited look, then yelling, “No, it must be Barbra Streisand, or Michael Jackson!”

The boy who was sleeping was now wide awake, “Seriously Harmony, ever since Mr. Jelly told us that we were getting a new director, that’s all you’ve been talking about. It’s seriously annoying! I know you’re excited but so are we, and we’re not talking about our director non-stop. And also, Michael Jackson’s dead.”

Harmony looked upset by Jason’s comment, remembering that one of her favorite performers had indeed passed. “I understand, I mean, what if our director is a crazy pedophilic drug addict, or even worse, can’t sing!?”

Harmony started sobbing miserably at the thought, until a figure suddenly appeared in the choir room. The figure appeared to be a man to Harmony. As this ‘man’ walked closer, Harmony became delighted.

“Oh my god, this guy can sing! He was one of the people who I wanted the director to be!” splattered Harmony who is having trouble containing her excitement inside herself. The man was being shot with glances from the entire club. Poppy jumped out of her seat in which she is sitting in. She said to him, “Well, we’re glad to have you here, Jesse St. James!”

_________________________________________________________________________________________________

The auditorium seemed empty, or at least to Harmony, who knew how large auditoriums could fill up to. She realised that the auditorium would usually be packed full of visitors, all eager to watch a performance.

“Okay, so just so I’m clear, you want to perform a popular song played on the radio today to get students to join the glee club?” asked Jesse.

Harmony then exclaimed, “Yes, of course! It’s the only way to get kids to join. I’m telling you right now, they’re only going to want to be joining if we show them we can pull off a pop number, and Jessie J is in my range. Although, really, every artist is in my range," she boasted. "She’s also one of my life heroes, alongside Julie Andrews, Barbra Streisand and –”

Liz cuts her off, “Okay Harmony we get your point, let’s get this song-a-singing.”

The scene cuts to The Unitards performing ‘Abracadabra’ by Jessie J in the cafeteria. They jump about and try to convince people to join the glee club.

Harmony:

I don’t wanna be the reason

I gotta have ya, like abracadabra

Hey yeah, oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, ooh...”

Harmony smiled to everyone in the cafeteria, who were now staring at the glee club. Harmony lookd anxious, and then smiled once again. Harmony then saw someone who looked exactly like Michael Jackson from the back. She walked up to him and tapped him on the shoulder. The tall, thin person turned around, confused.

“Hello, what do you want?” asked the boy in a helpful tone. His hazel eyes stared into Harmony’s own gleaming eyes. His blonde hair blew slightly from the fans placed above his head. Harmony then replied to him.

“I’m sorry to bother you; I just swore you were Michael Jackson. You looked exactly like him with that leather jacket and those fabulous boots. I had to find out who you were.”

He looked like a great person with great intentions in life and Harmony felt comfortable being around him.

“I know that your hair is blonde, but I thought Michael may have dyed his hair for some reason, or maybe you were a big fan of him,” Harmony added.

He laughed quietly along with Harmony. “I understand. I get that quite a lot, actually. Lots of people think that I kind of look him. It’s fine, it’s totally normal. I actually am quite a fan of him. Sorry, I didn’t tell you my name. My name is Mark LaTerri but most people just call me Terri for short. I prefer Terri to Mark. So, um… anyway, I heard that you were holding auditions for the glee club that's apparently being revived and now has a new director,” Terri said. Harmony nodded happily.

“It would be a pleasure if I could be a part of your club,” he said joyously, “But, you know, if there are too many people auditioning or, whatever the reason I can’t join, that’s absolutely fine. So I guess I’ll see you in the auditorium then.”

Harmony smiled and said “Goodbye, have fun, Terri. See you around then.”

It seemed as if Terri and Harmony felt attracted to each other. Harmony walked away cheerfully, feeling a slight sense of achievement, having her first audition in sight.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________ Harmony walked into the choir room filled with excitement. “So, I got someone to audition. Who else found someone just as eager to perform as us?” asked Harmony.

Everybody shook their head unhappily.

“Come on guys, you can’t tell me that no one else wants to join!” Harmony yelled in disgust at the lack of enthusiasm from her teammates.

Jesse then rushed into the choir room like a cyclone. His boots made a stomping sound, a sound that strangely enough, seemed to calm Harmony down.

“Quick! In the auditorium now! We’ve got two people who want to audition. Quick, hurry up!” said Jesse enthusiastically.

They all rushed out of the choir room efficiently. As they walked into the choir room, they realized the two boys waiting there. Harmony instantly recognised Terri’s face. An unknown boy was standing with Terri.

“Excuse me, but who are you?” asked Harmony with confusion and curiosity. “I’m Terri. I met you earlier in the cafeteria at lunch time.”

Harmony shook her head. "No, I mean, the other guy. What’s your name and why are you here?” The boy then started to think.

In his head, the boys spoke through a voice over, “Hi there. I’m Freddie. My actual name is Falcon Weathers, but Freddie is my nickname. It’s named after Freddie Mercury, my idol for life. When I was young, my grandfather Frederick taught me the words to Bohemian Rhapsody, and ever since then I have loved Queen, most particularly Freddie Mercury. My first words were ‘mama… just killed a man’. Now let me get something straight, I may come off like a really bad guy, but I’m not. Just ‘cause I hang out with those mean footballers doesn’t mean I’m one of them. Music is my life. When my parents passed away they left me at my grandfather’s. My parents didn’t really love me that much; they were gamblers, so I've never really missed them. They would go gambling like five times a week, if not more. When I had to live with my grandfather, life seemed great. He was a Queen supporter just like me so it was something I could always talk to him about. It was a common interest between the two of us. But then when he was diagnosed of lung cancer because of too many cigarettes, he passed away shortly after. I find music an escape to all my sadness. I'm now looked after by my foster parents. I’ve got it good now, I’m a popular guy and I have the best friends in the world, and now I’m joining the glee club!”

“Freddie, Freddie! Freddie! Freddie!”  Jesse repeated, trying to drag Freddie out of his deep thoughts.

“Sorry, I kind of forgot where I was for a moment there,” said Freddie.

Jesse then said to Terri, “So, what song would you like to audition with, Terri?”

Terri looked nervous, you could see it through his eyes.

“Today I will be auditioning with ‘This Love’ by Maroon 5. Please enjoy.”

“I was so high I did not recognize

The fire burning in her eyes

The chaos that controlled my mind

Whispered goodbye as she got on a plane

Never to return again

But always in my heart

Oh

This love has taken its toll on me

She said goodbye too many times before

And her heart is breaking in front of me

And I have no choice ‘cause I won't say goodbye anymore

Woah, oh oh, woah oh oh, woah oh oh….

I tried my best to feed her appetite

Keep her coming every night

So hard to keep her satisfied

Oh, kept playing love like it was just a game

Pretending to feel the same

Then turn around and leave again

But oh oh, this love has taken its toll on me

She said goodbye too many times before

And her heart is breaking in front of me

And I have no choice 'cause I won't say goodbye anymore

Woah oh oh, woah oh oh, woah oh oh…

I'll fix these broken things

Repair your broken wings

And make sure everything's alright

It’s alright, it’s alright

My pressure on your hips

Sinking my fingertips

Into every inch of you

Cause I know that's what you want me to do

This love has taken its toll on me

She said goodbye too many times before

And her heart is breaking in front of me

And I have no choice 'cause I won't say goodbye anymore

This love has taken its toll on me

She said goodbye too many times before

And my heart is breaking in front of me

She said goodbye too many times before

This love has taken its toll on me (yeah, yeah)

She said goodbye too many times before

And her heart is breaking in front of me

I have no choice cause I won't say goodbye anymore Ha…”

Jesse clapped with Harmony following.

“You certainly have some potential to be The Unitards’ male lead,” Jesse smiled.

“So, does that mean that I’m accepted?” asked Terri.

“We’ll keep you posted,” replied Jesse. "Actually, on second thoughts, you're in!"

Terri walked off the stage with a huge smile spread across his face.

Freddie slowly walked on. His hair was browny, with a tiny streak of blonde running through the middle and was slicked back. Harmony enjoyed a boy with bright blue eyes and a slightly muscular body, so she already enjoyed Freddie. Harmony looked at Jesse, giving him a look that says ‘start now’. Jesse then picked up his pen and clipboard.

“Freddie! What song have you decided to sing for us today?” he asked Freddie.

“I will be singing ‘Crazy Little Thing Called Love’ by the extremely popular band Queen. I’ve got some friends of mine from other schools who are going to help me out with it, if that’s okay. They’re just doing back-up so it shouldn’t matter,” said Freddie confidently.

He then opened his average sized mouth and began to sing.

Freddie:

This thing called love I just can't handle it

This thing called love I must get round to it

I ain't ready

Crazy little thing called love

This thing (Boys: This Thing) called love

(Boys: Called Love)

It cries (Boys: Like a baby)

In a cradle all night

It swings (Boys: Woo Woo)

It jives (Boys: Woo Woo)

It shakes all over like a jelly fish (Boys: Oooh)

(With Boys): I kinda like it

Crazy little thing called love

There goes my baby

She knows how to Rock n' roll

She drives me crazy

She gives me hot and cold fever

Then she leaves me in a cool, cool sweat

I gotta be cool, relax, get hip

Get on my tracks

Take a back seat, hitch-hike

And take a long ride on my motor bike

Until I'm ready

Crazy little thing called love

Yeah,

I gotta be cool, relax, get hip

Get on my tracks

(With Boys harmonising:)

Take a back seat, hitch-hike

And take a long ride on my motor bike

Until I'm ready (Boys: Ready Freddie)

Crazy little thing called love

This thing called love I just can't handle it

This thing called love I must get round to it

I ain't ready (Boys: ooh)

(With Boys): Crazy little thing called love

Crazy little thing called love (Boys: yeah, yeah)

Crazy little thing called love (Boys: yeah, yeah

Crazy little thing called love (Boys: yeah, yeah)

Crazy little thing called love (Boys: yeah, yeah)

Crazy little thing called love (Boys: yeah, yeah)

Crazy little thing called love (Boys: yeah, yeah)

Crazy little thing called love (Boys: yeah, yeah)”

He clearly sounded amazing. Harmony clapped, however, Jesse just sat there.

“What’s wrong?” asked Harmony, looking Jesse directly in the eyes.

Jesse rolled his eyes, “Well, firstly, you ruined one of my favourite songs and secondly, nobody does Freddie Mercury as well as himself. Sorry, man, but, you’re probably not in.”

Harmony looked shocked. “Surely he could be a part of the glee club. He was amazing, Mr. St James,” responded Harmony.

“Harmony, just to let you know, I prefer Jesse. Mr. St. James makes me sound old. And no, he’s not accepted. We need star quality Harmony, and this boy is not going to help us win Sectionals,” Jesse says, sharing his opinion. Freddie looked heartbroken to hear that they wouldn't accept him in The Unitards. He stormed off the stage. Harmony left too and gave a fowl look at Jesse, shaking her head.

Jesse then called the next names on the list, “Justine Callaway and Junette Annabelle Harris, please proceed to the auditorium stage.”

They both walked on. “I see that you are both cheerleaders,” said Jesse with a shocked expression suddenly becoming visible on his face, “Why would two popular girls like you two want to join the glee club?”

Justine opened her huge ‘Trouty mouth’ and began to speak in her imagination, “I’m Justine Callaway. I know you may be thinking that joining the glee club may be a terrible decision for a popular girl like me, but to be honest, I’d do anything to get out of that stupid History class. I know that wearing this cheerleading outfit automatically makes me look super popular, but in actual fact, nobody sees me that way, or at least not anymore. I used to be the head cheerleader, the captain. After I lost my virginity, I was suddenly graded as a loser by my so called friends. I only have a few friends now. Basically I just want to join this glee club so I can make more friends and share my contagious smile and boisterous laugh. I really just want a better reputation right now. Everybody hates me. In fact, the other day someone decided to start calling me the ‘Town Bicycle’ because apparently everybody has run over me, and it's starting to catch on. I must admit that I do enjoy the deed, but I’m pretty sure there are some boys out there who haven’t run over me yet. Other girls have 'done' so many more guys than me, so the name doesn't even make sense. Now the ‘Town Bicycle’ name is starting to catch on with everyone. Slowly I’m growing weaker and I’m becoming a bigger loser every day. Glee club’s my only hope to find people who like me for who I am.”

Jesse then smiled at June and asked her why she is auditioning for the glee club, “Why are you auditioning?”

June moved some of her ginger hair from ontop of her eyes to behind her head. A sweet voice answered, “I’ve only just been accepted into the cheerleading club quite recently, so I really don’t have anything to lose. I’m not that popular yet, although I’m sure I’ll be soon. I also don’t care what people think of me, and I’m an amazing singer if I say so myself.”

Jesse nodded his head taking in all the details about June.

“Okay, so what song are you two auditioning with?” asked Jesse.

“I will be auditioning with ‘It’s a Fine, Fine Line’ from Avenue Q," said Justine. "I am so in love with this song.”

Justine turned around to see an open-mouthed June. “That’s so not fair! I was auditioning with that exact same song too! You can’t steal my song!” yelled June.

“I’m sorry, but I said I was singing it first," replied Justine.

June looked angry and then said, “Yeah, well, I thought of singing it first!”

“ENOUGH!” yelled Jesse, creating a raw silence. “You will both sing the song, but as a duet!”

June looked happy, however Justine sighed unhappily. “But how do we know which parts I’ll sing and which parts she’ll sing!?” asked Justine, trying to convince Jesse to let her sing the song.

“Fine, 30 seconds to figure out who’s singing what. Starts now, go!” explained Jesse, who immediately started to count down, “29… 28… 27… 26… 25… 24… 23… 22… 21... 20… 19… 18… 17… 16…. 15… 14…”

“We’re done!” said Justine, “May we begin?”

“Of course,” replied Jesse.

Justine:

There's a fine, fine line between a lover and a friend

There's a fine, fine line between reality and pretend

And you never know 'till you reach the top if it was worth the uphill climb

Justine and June:

There's a fine, fine line between love

And a waste of time

June:

There's a fine, fine line between a fairy tale and a lie

And there's a fine, fine line, between "You're wonderful" and "Goodbye."

I guess if someone doesn't love you back it isn't such a crime

June and Justine:

But there's a fine, fine line between love

And a waste of your time

Justine:

And I don't have the time to waste on you anymore

I don't think that you even know what you're looking for

For my own sanity, I've got to close the door

And walk away...

Oh...

June and Justine:

There's a fine, fine line between together and not

And there's a fine, fine line between what you wanted and what you got

You gotta go after the things you want while you're still in your prime...

There's a fine, fine line between love

And a waste of time”

Jesse clapped with a smile spread on his face. “Great, well done. Your vocals were amazing. Just two things, that song is sung by a character who is a monster puppet, and two... that song isn’t a duet.”

“But you told us to sing it as a duet!” yelled June.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________

The sound of high heels echoed around the building. A girl dressed in pink clothing approached the microphone.

“Hello, I’m Sugar Motta. I would like to tell you that I’m extremely sorry that I couldn’t put my name up on that audition list, I didn't have time, but I have self-diagnosed Asperger’s so I can basically do whatever I want,” Sugar explained, “But I would really like to be in your glee club. You see, at my old school McKinley High, I wasn’t allowed to sing one single solo for the club, and so I transferred here, after remembering that I versed you at Sectionals last year, and seems as you came last I thought you’d need as much help as possible. So please enjoy my audition song.”

“Only if you don’t talk that much in it!” Jesse laughed. Harmony smiled at him, thinking what he had said was funny.

“Sugar

Ah, honey, honey

You are my candy girl

And you got me wanting you

Honey

Sugar, sugar –”

Jesse ignorantly yelled, “Stop! You suck! I’m sorry but not everyone was born with talent, Sugar. Also, that song’s supposed to be sung by a man and, correct me if I’m wrong but you don’t look like a man to me. Unless you're trannie or something.”

Sugar rushed off the stage torn to pieces.

“Thea!” yelled Jesse at the top of his lungs. A youngish girl with cut up shorts, long wavy dark brown hair, high black boots and big hazel eyes with long eyelashes walked onto the auditorium stage.

“Hello. I’m Thea Mapp; people call me Ted or Teddy. Hope you like my audition song,” she said, not maintaining eye contact with Jesse once.

“Can't stay at home, can't stay at school

Old folks say, ya poor little fool

Down the street I'm the girl next door

I'm the fox you've been waiting for

Hello Daddy, hello Mom

I'm your ch ch ch ch ch cherry bomb

Hello world I'm your wild girl

I'm your ch ch ch ch ch cherry bomb

Stone age love and strange sounds too

Come on baby let me get to you

Bad nights causin’ teenage blues

Get down ladies you've got nothing to lose

Hello Daddy, hello Mom

I'm your ch ch ch ch ch cherry bomb

Hello world I'm your wild girl

I'm your ch ch ch ch ch cherry bomb

Hey street boy what’s your style

Your dead end dreams don't make you smile

I'll give ya something to live for

Have ya; grab ya til your sore”

Harmony walked in at the end of her performance with Liz, Poppy and Jason following behind.

“Shhh!” said Harmony. Jesse turned around.

“Hurry up! Stop disturbing Teddy’s performance!” yelled Jesse, with a strict look on his face, despite the performance already being over.

“We’re really sorry,” said Jason, whilst adjusting his glasses, placing them over his short baby-shaped nose.

“I’m gonna get going now. Hope you consider me,” said Teddy, then leaving with no reason.

“Okay then, next….. Amanda Gertrude Evans,” called Jesse.

In walked a shy looking girl. Her blonde hair was just below her shoulders. She played with her hands whilst walking in.

“Hi. I’m Amanda Gertrude Patricia Evans.  I used to live in New York until one day we moved to Ohio. My parents and older brother never told me why we moved here, but to be honest, I really don’t care why. I like Jackson High better than my former school because back there nobody liked me. I know I’m not popular here and most people still don’t notice me but I still have a few friends who enjoy being around me. So, anyway, here I am auditioning for the Unitards. I play the bass, the guitar and the piano so I do have a reason for auditioning, and I’m an okay singer aswell,” said Amanda.

“What will you be singing for us, Amanda Evans?” asked Jesse impatiently.

“I’ll be singing Crushcrushcrush by Paramore,” muttered a very shy Amanda. Her cheeks started to turn a beetroot red. She closed her eyes and breathed in and out, trying to calm herself down, until she started her song.

“I got a lot to say to you

Yeah, I got a lot to say

I noticed your eyes are always glued to me

Keeping them here

And it makes no sense at all

They taped over your mouth

Scribbled out the truth with their lies

You little spies

They taped over your mouth

Scribbled out the truth with their lies

You little spies

Crush

Crush

Crush

Crush, crush

Two, three, four!

Nothing compares to a quiet evening alone

Just the one-two of us, who's counting on

That never happens

I guess I'm dreaming again

Let's be more than this”

Amanda smiled and suddenly felt more confident.

“If you want to play it like a game

Well, come on, come on, let's play

Cause I'd rather waste my life pretending

Than have to forget you for one whole minute

They taped over your mouth

Scribbled out the truth with their lies

You little spies

They taped over your mouth

Scribbled out the truth with their lies

You little spies

Crush

Crush

Crush

Crush, crush

Two, three, four!

Nothing compares to a quiet evening alone

Just the one-two of us, who's counting on

That never happens

I guess I'm dreaming again

Let's be more than this now

Rock and roll, baby

Don't you know that we're all alone now?

I need something to sing about

Rock and roll, hey

Don't you know, baby, we're all alone now?

I need something to sing about

Rock and roll, hey

Don't you know, baby, we're all alone now?

Give me something to sing about

Nothing compares to a quiet evening alone

Just the one-two of us, who's counting on

That never happens

I guess I'm dreaming again

Let's be more than No, oh

Nothing compares to a quiet evening alone

Just the one-two of us, who's counting on

That never happens

I guess I'm dreaming again

Let's be more than

More than this

Ohoh ohoh ohoh Mmmmmm...”

Jesse, Harmony, Liz, Poppy and Jason all clapped.

“So, how did I go?” asked Amanda, nervously, whilst taking her pink glasses out of her pocket and placing them on.

“You were amazing, Amanda! You’re in. Rehearsals start tomorrow. Thanks so much, you’re the female the lead now,” Jesse said with so much excitement.

Harmony then ran over to Jesse. Her face was full of anger, it was extremely evident. She abruptly, slapped Jesse across the face.

“How could you give HER the female lead?" she yelled. "I am clearly the leader of this club; I will always be the leader of this club! I am the female lead; if you take away my singing, we’ll lose Sectionals. I’m telling you right now; do NOT give her the lead!” blasted Harmony.

Jesse then yelled at Harmony, “Get out of my glee club! How dare you slap my face? Get out of my glee club. I do not want to see your face ever again. Go, scat! Shoo!”

Harmony walked out of the room, with her hands over her eyes, trying to cover her tears. Amanda didn't seem to appreciate the drama. She looked really concerned for Harmony and didn't know how to act about the whole situation, so she decided to walk off the stage, awkwardly. Jesse’s face now had a red mark from where Harmony slapped him. Jesse was constantly rubbing it. “Someone get me an ice pack, now!” he screamed. Poppy and Liz rushed out of the room, leaving Jason by Jesse’s side. Jason didn't like to be around people who may lose their temper, so he quickly runs after them and follows them.

Jesse now has an icepack held up against his cheek. “Last audition… Andy Jones” calls Jesse. “Hi, I’m Andy. Today I will be auditioning with British boy band named One Direction, with their song ‘One Thing’," he says. He scratches his black spiked hair. Andy sings ‘One Thing’ by One Direction.

“I've tried playing it cool

But when I'm looking at you

I can’t ever be brave

'Cause you make my heart race

Shot me out of the sky

You're my kryptonite

You keep making me weak

Yeah, frozen and can't breathe

Something’s gotta give now

'Cause I’m dying just to make you see

That I need you here with me now

'Cause you've got that one thing

So get out, get out, get out of my head

And fall into my arms instead

I don't, I don't, don't know what it is

But I need that one thing

And you've got that one thing

Now I'm climbing the walls

But you don't notice at all

That I'm going out of my mind

All day and all night

Something’s gotta give now

'Cause I'm dying just to know your name

And I need you here with me now

'Cause you've got that one thing

So get out, get out, get out of my head

And fall into my arms instead

I don't, I don't, don't know what it is

But I need that one thing

So get out, get out, get out of my mind

And come on, come into my life

I don't, I don't, don't know what it is

But I need that one thing

And you've got that one thing

You've got that one thing

Get out, get out, get out of my head

And fall into my arms instead

So get out, get out, get out of my head

And fall into my arms instead

I don't, I don't, don't know what it is

But I need that one thing

So get out, get out, get out of my mind

And come on, come into my life

I don't, I don't, don't know what it is

But I need that one thing

Yeah, you've got that one thing”

“Congratulations, you’re in!” says Jesse.
